Total Hip Replacement (THR), also called Total Hip Arthroplasty, is a surgical procedure in which a damaged hip joint is replaced with an artificial joint (prosthesis). 🦴 Why is it Done? THR is usually recommended when hip pain and stiffness severely affect daily activities and do not improve with medicines or physiotherapy.
